The Nash Ensemble and the Musical Brain is a unique event exploring the exciting emergent science of how music changes people’s minds and bodies. The three-day Residence will be based at the splendid Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park and the Nash will give four concerts in Windsor Parish Church. Woven around the concerts, and open rehearsals, will be a study led by the distinguished composer and music therapist Professor Nigel Osborne, co-director of Edinburgh University’s Institute for Music and Human and Social Development, into what happens in the brain when we listen to and create music.
