Berkshire Community Foudation provides grants to small local voluntary and community groups who provide vital services to people in need throughout Berkshire.

Only groups based in Berkshire can apply and the foundation awards around £500,000 of grants a year.

The foundation has a number of grant schemes including:

  • Quick Response Grants – up to £300, particularly greared to meet the needs of smaller groups in start-up, training and equipment costs.
  • Project Support Grants – up to £2,000  to fund a wide range of needs, but excluding running costs.
  • Strategic Grants – up to £5,000 per year for up to two years for strategic initiatives that tackle social need. Running costs can be included.
  • Mars Grants - £500 or more for projects based within 10 miles of the Mars site in Slough that are promoting Healthy Active Lifestyles, the Environment or Pet welfare. Open all year round.
  • Grassroots Grants - £250 to £5000 to increase immediate grant funding and capacity building support to small voluntary and community groups and organisations, enabling them to continue or expand work. Closing dates 1st of each month (excluding January and August).
