What Are We Like? was Slough's major film project for young people.An Arts Development initiative supported by the Heart of Slough project, it received one of only seven major awards from First Light, the Film Council's groundbreaking initiative to promote the production of new film by young people.

In the summer of 1998, Langley Environmental Arts Project held eight creative writing workshops led by poet Patrick Collins for residents of a local block of flats. The result was a collection of poems that looked at the experiences of people living in high rise accommodation. The collected poems became the publication Real Estate published by Corridor Press.
