We’re the Community Arts team at Slough Borough Council and we are committed to developing a strong, diverse and accessible arts community in Slough. We believe that local people must be at the heart of the arts and that it is our role to support them to shape and deliver the arts through creating their own projects and activities.
The arts play an important role in all of our lives and can help to improve the health and wellbeing of people, communities and Slough as a whole. They can help us to learn new skills, meet people and enjoy ourselves, create links between communities, and stop people from feeling isolated. The also help Slough to prosper economically by bringing jobs and money into the town.
Our definition of the arts includes all artforms from visual arts and crafts to dance, drama, digital arts, film, literature, media, music and photography.
